Virgil William Henry Heath, affectionately known to family, friends, and countless acquaintances as Woody, passed away peacefully on his 81st birthday, September 13, 2026.
Woody was a man who truly lived life on his own terms. He never met a stranger, always had a story to tell, and was forever on the lookout for the next great deal. His larger-than-life personality, infectious smile, and generous heart made an unforgettable impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Woody proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era as a Surgical Medic. His dedication to helping others and caring for those in need reflected the compassion and strength that would define his life.
A natural entrepreneur, Woody built an empire from humble beginnings through hard work, determination, and an unwavering belief in himself. Those who knew him best often described him as a legend. He was a mentor, a friend, a trusted advisor, and a man who genuinely wanted to help others succeed. Whether offering guidance, sharing wisdom, or lending a helping hand, Woody was always there when someone needed him.
Woody celebrated life in a big way. His passion for cars, building a business, and adventure was well known, and many may have even spotted him on television, at car shows, or in bars he built with his unique vision. He loved boldly, laughed often, and lived with a spirit that inspired those around him.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his beloved daughters,
LaDawn Heath Bradley and Star Heath Button; his God-son, Tracy Wallace; and his treasured
grandchildren, Codie Weiler, Blake Bradley, Payton Bradley, and Christian Zapatoes. Woody
was very proud of his daughters, God-son, and grandkids and always bragged about
their accomplishments!
To know Woody was to experience what many affectionately called a place filled with big dreams, big stories, big laughs, and an even bigger heart. His kindness, wisdom, and vibrant spirit touched countless lives and created memories that will live on for generations.
Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy remains alive in the family he loved, the friendships he built, the lives he influenced, and the example he set. Woody’s story is one of perseverance, generosity, and living life to the fullest.
Welcome to Woody World. Once you been there, you never forget it.
Woody will be missed beyond measure but remembered forever with love, admiration, and gratitude. A legend in life, a legacy forever; Forever in our hearts!
In honor of Woody’s larger-than-life spirit, family and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Barnstormers 349 Jonathans Roost Road, Williamson, GA 30292
Woody lived life in the fast lane and had a passion for cars, adventure, and bringing people together. To celebrate his memory, we will be hosting a Hot Rod Showcase in his honor. If you have a hot rod, classic car, muscle car, or custom ride, bring your best and help us create a tribute that Woody would have loved. And if you don’t have a hot rod, that’s perfectly okay. Come join the festivities, share stories, laughter, and memories as we celebrate the incredible life of a man who touched so many hearts. As Woody would say, Welcome to Woody World, let’s gather one more time to honor the legend, the mentor, the friend, and the father who taught us to dream big, love big, and live life to the fullest.
Come celebrate Woody’s life, legacy, and the unforgettable impact he made on all who knew
him.
The cars will shine, the stories will flow, and Woody's spirit will be with us every mile of the way.
