Willie Grace Horton Terrell

Willie Grace Horton Terrell, 91, of Griffin, widow of Charles Lewis Terrell, died Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Heritage Inn of Barnesville. Born in Gay, July 10, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Susie Oglesby Horton. Mrs. Terrell retired from Spalding Knitting Mill after forty-five years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Before Mrs. Terrell’s illness, she enjoyed going to lunch with her cousins, Curtis Steger and Harvey Oglesby. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and had been very active while her health allowed her to attend. Mrs. Terrell was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been one of ten children. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Susan Wynn; her grandchildren, whom she adored, Leigh Ann Sheffield and husband Tommy and William Wynn and wife Samantha; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Annabeth, Lucy, Jack and Tanner, all of Jackson; special niece Annette Mallory; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 Noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
