Ronald Jay Wood

Ronald Jay Wood, 61, of Griffin, husband of Shanda DeLane Johnson Wood, died Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Born in Amarillo, TX, February 15, 1964, he was a son of the late Robert Lee and Mary Jane Johnson Wood. Mr. Wood had worked for International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 926 for over twenty years, where he served as a Certified Crane Operator. He enjoyed target shooting, video gaming and water skiing. Surviving in addition to his beloved wife of forty years are two sisters, Lora Wood Al-Sheikh and husband Saad of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Donna Wood Sparrow and husband Gary of Myrtle Beach, SC; aunts, Linda Carr and Brenda Lynch, both of Griffin; sisters-in-law, Kelly Reid and Dena King, both of Amarillo, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
