Linda Raybon McSwain

Mrs. Linda Raybon McSwain, age 74, of Griffin, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Spalding Regional Medical Center. Mrs. McSwain was born in Griffin, Ga. on October 21, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Otis and Mildred Raybon. Mrs. McSwain was a retired Juvenile Counselor with the State of Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Maggie McSwain; brothers and sisters, Gary Raybon, Keith Raybon, Carol Strobeck, Vada White; niece, Missy Rice. Linda was a compassionate person always caring for others and making sure they didn’t go without. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters Selvie and Mallory. She was a lover of animals and was never without a furry companion. She leaves behind her beloved Lucky. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Don McSwain; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jamie McSwain; granddaughters, Selvie and Mallory McSwain; brother and sister-in-law, Otis and Barbara Raybon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Dick Leverette, Peggy Wilkinson, and Patty and Charles Kosko; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Bob Strobeck, Fran Raybon and Donald and Barbara Yelton; nieces and nephews and other family members also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Raybon McSwain will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 2:00PM from the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 1:00 Pm until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Humane Society or to Give Kids the World in memory of Linda. Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
