Larry Ralph Appleby

Mr. Larry Ralph Appleby, age 85, of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Wellstar Spalding Hospital. Mr. Appleby was born August 1, 1940, in Long Beach, CA. He was the son of the late Frank Appleby Jr. and Hildreth Egolf Appleby. Mr. Appleby retired after many years of service as a procurement officer with the State of California. He will be remembered for the love, joy, and laughter he brought to his family. Survivors include his wife of 54 ½ years, Sheila Appleby; daughter and son-in-law, Roxann and Rory Whitaker of Seguin, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Meghan Appleby of Weatherford, TX; 2 granddaughters;3 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Sealey of West Columbia, SC; brother-in-law, Tom Pierce of Scio, OR.; nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Larry Ralph Appleby will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Pastor Brandon Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. The family will visit with friends at a reception following the service in the community room of the funeral home.
