Kevin LaRue Wheat

Mr. Kevin LaRue Wheat age 64 of Hampton, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 at his home. Mr. Wheat was born January 27, 1957 in Bogalusa, LA, son of the late Ned and Yvonne Quave Wheat. He retired from Delta after 34 years of service and was a member of West Sunnyside Community Church. Mr. Wheat is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie Wheat; children and their spouses, Tara and Michael Whillock, Shane Wheat, Amber & Eric Cabrera, Megan & Jared Cawthon; grandchildren, Mason Whillock, Olivia Whillock, Hudson Cabrera, Piper Cabrera, Eli Cawthon; brothers, Keith Wheat, Kris Wheat; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave and Sue Moore. Aunts, uncles, cousins and other family also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Kevin LaRue Wheat will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 3:00 PM at West Sunnyside Community Church with Pastor Richie Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Wheat will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
