Judy Eileen McDill Strickland

Judy Eileen McDill Strickland, 80, of Griffin, died Monday, September 20, 2021 at her home. Born in Escanaba, MI, September 13, 1941, she was daughter of Melvin James and Fern Omaleen Chapine McDill. Mrs. Strickland was retired after over twenty-five years of service from Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale where she served as an LPN. Nurse was a perfect title for Mrs. Judy. She was a kind, gentle, caring spirit and put her family before everything else. She helped loved and raise three generations of children. Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley McDill. Survivors include two daughters, Laurie McKneely and husband Jason and Cheyenne Strickland Sewell, all of Griffin; grandchildren, Sheena Sewell, Alexander McKneely and Brent McKneely; great-grandchild, Macy Pippin; sister-in-law, Margaret McDill; and nephew John McDill, both of Columbia, SC. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Cameron Shifflett officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
