Jerry Lee Walker Sr.

Jerry Lee Walker, Sr., 74, of Griffin, widower of Sheila Donnell Morgan Walker, died Monday, April 13, 2026, at his residence. Born in Griffin, January 18, 1952, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary Walker. Mr. Walker was a retired US Army Veteran and was proud of his many years of service. He was also twice retired from Secor Inc. Jerry loved fishing and was a loyal Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs fan. He enjoyed checking in on and spending time with friends. Jerry was a loving father and grandfather. He was very family oriented and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Mr. Walker was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to his beloved wife and parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Susie Nelson, Marie Jones, Marion Richmond, Glenda Allen, Reverend Charles Walker and a baby brother who passed at a young age, Willie Walker. Survivors include his daughter, Jameka Spencer and husband Jonathan of Commerce City, CO; a son, Jerry Lee Walker, Jr., step-daughter, Sheena Jester; grandchildren, Ethan, Nasir, Saniah, Jireh, Jordan, Jay and De'Ja Hightower; sisters, Jewell Nelton and husband Casey and Fannie Mae Jester and husband Horace; brothers, Randy Walker and John Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jerry Lee Walker, Sr. will be conducted Friday, April 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Bishop Antonio R. Sewell officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in Westwood Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 Noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
