Janis G. Gaines

Mrs. Janis G. Gaines, age 72 of Hampton, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at WellStar Spalding Regional Hospital. Mrs. Gaines was born January 10, 1946, daughter of the late Philip and Opal Parks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Gaines. Mrs. Gaines was a member of Sunnyside Methodist Church. She loved to read and watch TV and spend time with her dog “Sunny”. Mrs. Gaines also enjoyed spending time doing yardwork and shopping in her day. Survivors include her children, Terri Worley (Doug) of Hampton, William Mabrey (Constance Edwards) of Griffin, Stacey Gaines-McCollom (Molly) of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Janis G. Gaines will be held Monday, March 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
