Harriett Ann Elliott

Mrs. Harriett Ann Elliott, age 82, of Griffin, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Elliott of was born May 26, 1943, in Decatur, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas Paul Jones and Hattie Vining Jones. She retired from Georgia Power Company and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She loved to do arts and crafts, sew, crochet, and learned how to quilt by watching online. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elliott Sr.; son, James Elliott Jr; and granddaughter, Rebecca Purcell. Survivors include her daughters and spouses, Janet Dykes and Danny Duffey, Cynthia Elliott, and Sandra Flippen; grandchildren, Chasity Purcell, Kamya Purcell, Dejuan Purcell, Juan Gordon, Warren Robbins, Chirstopher Scheller, and Daniel Scheller; great-grandchildren also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Harriett Ann Elliott will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM in New Heights Baptist Church Cemetery, 2063 Hwy 154, Newnan, Ga. 30265.
