Ennis Leslie English Jr.

Mr. Ennis Leslie English Jr. age 88 of Griffin, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at his residence. Mr. English was born on December 8, 1935, in Porterdale, Ga. He was the son of the late Ennis Leslie English Sr. and Eugenia Hollingsworth English. Mr. English retired after many years from the State of Georgia. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Second Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Thomas English; and a son, David Brian English; sister, Emily Jenkins. Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia E. Holden; grandchildren, Melanie English and Chris Wheeler, Jean’ Pierre English, and Gatlin Hunter Thigpen and Erin Saragina; great-grandchildren, Amethyst Melanie English -Wheeler and Ezra Christopher English-Wheeler; mother of Jean' Pierre and Melanie, Isabel English; brother, Jimmy English, sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose Fuller, James Carrol Thomas, and Gladys Woodham; nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Ennis Leslie English Jr. will be held on Friday June 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Westwood Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
