Donna Jean Merritt

Donna Jean Merritt, age 57, of Locust Grove, passed away on August 25, 2022 at her residence. Donna was born on September 25, 1964 in Wurzburg, Germany. She was the daughter of Donald Paul Smith Sr. and the late Brenda Jo Bruner Smith Spencer. Mrs. Merritt was a great animal lover and loved to travel. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Marion James Merritt; her children and spouses, Adam Strickland, Stephen Strickland and Jennifer Bennett; father, Don Smith Sr.; brother and sister-in-law, Don Smith Jr. and Sheila; sister, Denna Pierce; mother-in-law, Betty Joe Merritt, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fred L. Merritt Jr and Amy Merritt and Julie Clonts; nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial service for Donna Jean Merritt will be held on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 Am until the service hour at the funeral home. Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin, Ga. 30224 is in charge of arrangements.
