Betty Ruth Tucker

Betty Ruth Tucker, age 71 of Thomaston, Ga. passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston, Ga. Betty was born October 13, 1954 in Thomaston, Ga. She is the daughter of Julia Ruthie Stewart of Zebulon. She was a resident of Harborview Health of Thomaston and was previously a lifelong resident of Griffin, Ga. Over the years, Betty was a textile and restaurant worker. She loved to cook. She was the oldest of 11 children and known by her younger siblings as their “other mama”. She was a loving, caring person who liked to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh. She was a friend to everyone who knew her. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Richard Tucker, her brother David Vance, and her sister Angela Rose Dobbins. Betty is survived by her mother, Julia Ruthie Stewart along with her brothers Randy (Lisa) Stewart, Timothy Stewart, her sisters, Mary Jane Fox, Robin Dunn, Becky (Eddie) Temple, Pamela Berry, Beth (Mikal) Mohammed, Carolyn (Ricky) Cobb, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 13, 2026 from 12:30 to 1:30pm at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00pm at Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin. Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
