Betty Severs

"Betty Elaine Severs, 79, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026.

Betty was born in South Holland, Illinois, to the late Elmer and Mina DeVries. She later made her home in Griffin, Georgia, where she built a life filled with family, friendships, and many cherished memories.

Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her only son, Derek Severs, and her beloved grandchildren, Kara Severs and Rhett Severs, who brought great joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mina DeVries, and her brother, Larry DeVries.

Betty was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent 14 years serving at Chick-fil-A before retiring. She will be remembered by those who knew and loved her for the special place she held in the lives of her family and friends.

Her memory will live on through her son, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.

Rest in peace, Betty. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered."
