Thomas Lynwood Whitlock Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Thomas Lynwood Whitlock, age 72, of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Whitlock was born on March 10,1949 in Griffin, Ga. He was the son of the late Thomas and Betty Blissitt Whitlock. Mr. Whitlock was a veteran ofthe United States Army and a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, GA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Whitlock. Survivors include his wife, Connie Lipscomb Whitlock; daughter, Sarah Lynn Whitlock; step-daughters and husbands, Dr. Carrie and Andrew Minnelli, Marcy and David Veve, Allison and Brandon Tyler; grandchildren, Enzo Lucus Minnelli, Nora Elizabeth Veve, Barrett Thomas Veve, Conner James Tyler, Rebecca Leigh Tyler, brother, Michael Whitlock; father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Dr. Thomas and Elizabeth Lipscomb; brother and sisters-in-law, maternal aunt and uncle, and cousins also survive. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00AM in Westwood Gardens. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 6-8PM at the funeral home and on Saturday from 10:00AM until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to Emory Winship Cancer Institute. Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin, GA. 30224 is in charge of arrangements.
