Sheila Donnell Morgan Walker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sheila Donnell Morgan Walker, 63, of Griffin, wife of Jerry Lee Walker died Thursday, June 23, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Griffin, December 12, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Ezell Pete and Annie Laura Battle Morgan. Mrs. Walker was a 1977 graduate of Griffin High School. She worked for K-Mart Distribution Center in Newnan for many years and later worked with Spalding County Schools in the cafeteria at Rehoboth Road Middle School. In her spare time Mrs. Walker loved cooking and spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughter. Mrs. Walker was a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church where she joined at an early age and served on the Usher Board. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ezell Pete Morgan and Dan Morgan; and sisters, Ernastine Davis and Linda Cook. Surviving in addition to her husband of seven years are a daughter, Sheena L. Jester; and granddaughter, De’Ja Hightower, both of Griffin; brothers, James Morgan of Orchard Hill and Harry Morgan of Clayton County; sisters, Nettie M. Jester and Annie Ruth Morgan, both of Griffin; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, 1247 D F Fuller Drive, Griffin, with Reverend Antonio Sewell officiating.
