Mr. Sammy Julius Nelson Sr. age 82, of Orchard Hill passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Nelson was born in Summerville, Ga. January 18, 1939. He was the son of the late Robert Russell Nelson and Iren Nelson. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Nelson, children and their spouses, Sammy Nelson Jr and Donna Marie, Russ Nelson, Brian and Dana Nelson, Lori and David Eckstien; step-son, Billy W. Holloway; 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Sammy Julius Nelson will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 1:00 Pm from the graveside at Westwood Gardens. Major Jack Butler will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 12:00 Pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
