    November 18, 1956 - December 10, 2019

Randall Allen “Red” Chandler of Brooks, husband of Ruth Blair Chandler, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in Atlanta. Born in Rome, November 18, 1956, he was a son of the late Webster Allen “Web” Chandler and Margaret “Peggy” Dole Chandler. Mr. Chandler was raised in Griffin and was a 1974 graduate of Griffin High School. He attended Southern Poly Technical College in Atlanta where he studied mechanical engineering. “Randy” was passionate about hunting, fishing and camping in Georgia’s great outdoors. He was an avid wing shooter and pursued birds throughout the United States. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Kenneth Antley. Surviving in addition to his loving wife of Brooks are a son, Wesley Chandler and wife Jordan of Brooks; a daughter, Anna E. Chandler of Atlanta; grandsons, Jaxon, Jagger and Jacob Chandler, all of Brooks; a sister, Barbara Antley of Atlanta; and several nephews and step-children. A memorial service for Mr. Randall Allen Chandler will be conducted Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Flint River Chapel, 2556 Flat Shoals Road in Concord. The family will receive friends Saturday immediately following the service at Flint River Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ducks Unlimited, Quails Unlimited or to the National Wild Turkey Foundation in hopes that future generations can enjoy hunting the way Randy did.
