Miranda Sue Buchanan Parks Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Miranda Sue Buchanan Parks, 80, of Griffin, died Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at her home. Born in Griffin, September 30, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Leon and Lottie Virginia Britt Buchanan. Ms. Parks formerly worked with First Response building ambulance body’s and was retired from Kroger where she served as a cashier for over five years. She was dedicated to her family and was a loving and caring mother to her children. Ms. Parks was a Christian. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Leon Parks; a daughter, Linda Darlene Smith; grandson, Randall Wayne Smith; and a sister, Melanie James. Survivors include two sons, Tracy Joel Parks and wife Susan and Carl Mitchell Parks and wife Darlene, all of Griffin; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Wiley Buchanan and wife Betty of Griffin; a sister, Melinda Harry, also of Griffin; an aunt Betty Buchanan of Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Henry Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home.
