Martha Buffington Bevil Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Martha Buffington Bevil, age 95, of Griffin, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Brightmoor Nursing Center. Mrs. Bevil was born in Griffin, Ga. on February 11, 1927. She was the daughter of the late W.J. Buffington and Selma Hadden Buffington. Mrs. Bevil was a life time member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Harris Bevil Sr., son, Wilson Harris Bevil Jr., sister, Joan Buffington. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Gary Kingsley; son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Linda Bevil; grandchildren, Jared Kingsley, Melissa Kingsley, Nicole Bevil, Tina Roberts and her husband John; great-grandchildren, Justin Roberts and Brook Roberts; sister, Helen Voyles; sister-in-law, Harriett Bevil; nieces and nephews and other family also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Buffington Bevil will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 Am from the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family request the donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Griffin for the Community Garden. (You know how Mom loved to garden and to grow things in the dirt.) Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
