Doris Ann Staples Gebhardt Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Doris Ann Staples Gebhardt, 64, of Milner, wife of Charles Alvin “Jimmy” Gebhardt, Jr. died Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon. Born in Atlanta, April 21, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Louie Staples and Jimmie Ruth Everette Parker. Mrs. Gebhardt formerly worked with Highland Mills. She was proud to have served as a CNA with Henry General Hospital for over twenty years and also served with Westbury Nursing Home in McDonough. Mrs. Gebhardt was a member of North Griffin Congregational Holiness Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and also with janitorial services. She loved her church and was very active in many functions and fundraisers. Surviving in addition to her husband of forty-eight years are a sister, Debra Carter and husband Timothy of Milner; a brother, Louie “Lee” Staples of Barnesville; nephews, Louie Carter and wife Kimberly of Milner, Jimmy Carter of Barnesville and Jeremy Lee Staples of Hampton; great-nephew, Jamison West Carter; and numerous other special extended family members and friends also survive. Funeral services for Doris Ann Staples Gebhardt will be conducted Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM at North Griffin Congregational Holiness Church with Pastor Beth Stephens-Johnson, Pastor Curt Johnson and Pastor Gene Luke officiating. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home and again Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the church.
