Christie Wells
October 16, 1961 - March 13, 2022
Christie Wells was born on October 16, 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia and lived in Fayetteville and surrounding areas most of her life. She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Fred Bearden, her brother Joe Bearden and sisters Paige Bearden and Vickie Bearden. She ended her journey on earth on March 13, 2022 following complications of a stroke. She married her sweetheart, Billie Wells on October 20, 1982 and they were blessed with three children, Mathew Wells (Tiffany), Jeremy Wells and Julien Wells of Fayetteville. She is also survived by brothers Robert Bearden, David Beardon and sister Robin Coleman. One of her greatest attributes was her capacity to love people. Christie loved her own children greatly as well as all those little ones within her reach. She was entrusted with the care of many children from families in her church for many years. Her entire face would light up when there was a child in her arms. Unfortunately, declining health prohibited her from engaging in this passion the last few years. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she embraced the gospel principles of an eternal family unit. As a teacher in the Primary organization there, Christie taught basic gospel doctrines to the youth helping them understand they were precious children of God. She also participated in many activities of the women’s Relief Society organization bringing an infectious welcoming hug and smile to both strangers and friends. Christie’s boisterous laughter, life of the party personality and resilient strength will be missed by her family and many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday April 10th at 5pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel 2021 Redwine Road Fayetteville, GA 30215.
