Jimmy Lee Briscoe

Jimmy Lee Briscoe, 74, of Williamson, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann Harmon Briscoe, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Jimmy never missed an opportunity to tell those he spoke with that Mary was the love of his life, proudly lighting up as he shared how long they had been married. Born in Griffin on November 19, 1951, Jimmy was a son of the late Calvin Leon Briscoe and Alice Vernell Tant Briscoe. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Jimmy was a hardworking man known for his skill and determination. He worked as a fixer in several local mills, including Dundee, Thomaston, Highland, and Griffin Yarn. A skilled mechanic, Jimmy was always helping family members by repairing their cars and keeping them on the road. He was also formerly employed with LKQ and worked for ten years alongside his daughter, Katie, at Discount Radios, retiring in 2018. Jimmy had a true gift for fixing things and was known to be someone who could repair just about anything that was broken. Above all else, Jimmy was a devoted husband, a loving daddy, and a proud pawpaw. He was of the Baptist faith and lived his life with quiet strength and dedication to his family. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his son, William Lee Briscoe and wife Anissa of Concord; daughters, Mary Lynn Bunn and husband Randy of Griffin, and Katie Roseanne Ziehme and husband Rick of Williamson; eight grandchildren, Brittany Redding and husband Michael of Molena, Toby Lee Briscoe and wife Ashley of Concord, Jesse Ryan Briscoe and wife Brandy of Molena, Kenny Lee Pike of Jackson, Tiffany Lynn Clinton and husband Chris of Griffin, Katelyn Leeann Ziehme, Richard Austin Ziehme, and Brayleigh Rose Ziehme, all of Williamson; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Susie Wyciskala of Griffin and Gail Johnson of Macon; brother, Darrell Briscoe and wife Mary Ann of Barnesville; brother-in-law, Danny Yeoman; sister-in-law, Liz Briscoe; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pug, Teeter. Funeral services for Jimmy Lee Briscoe will be conducted Friday, December 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM. Chaplain Jeremye Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
