Janice Marie McCrary

Mrs. Janice Marie McCrary, age 86, of Locust Grove, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. McCrary was born on July 9, 1937 in Bristol, Va. She was the daughter of the late Juanita Kilgore and Hansel Glover. She attended Radford College and her career spanned many years working in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base where she made many lasting close friends. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was an avid Braves fan, loved to bowl, fish with her husband, play soft ball, watch her grandchildren in their activities, and play Bunko. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her family, who she loved dearly. She will be remembered most for her beautiful smile, kindness, and as a loving mother, sister, mother-in law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. McCrary was a member of Oak Park Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Evan McCrary and sister, Nancy McCroskey Survivors include her children and spouses, Donna and Rocky Densmore and Jeff and Lisa Ballard; grandchildren, Dana and Kyle Rowan, Shanae Densmore, Jordan and Katelin Ballard, Ginger Alvarado, Alicia and Trey Wiggins, Dustin and Melanie Densmore, and Jaxon and Kaycee Ballard; great-grandchildren, Lawson Stone, Kala Rowan, Jorden Young, Grace Rowan, Audrey Ballard, Ayden Wiggins, Pearson Alvarado, Bentley Wiggins, Brantley Ballard, Olivia Rowan, Drayton Ballard, and Maverick Densmore; siblings and spouses, Robert and Carolyn Glover, Ronald and Thelma Glover, Mike and Margie Glover, and Dianna and Steve Beckett; special cousin, Sue Hicks; nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Janice Marie McCrary will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Oak Park Church. Pastor David T. Scott will officiate. Entombment will be held at 3:30 PM at Magnolia Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Warner Robins, GA. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.
